Genuine British Army medium weight sleeping bag is meant for cooler weather and can be used on its own, or with inserted light weight sleeping bag for additional insulation. The bag has the advantage of being lighter and less bulky than the earlier issue arctic sleeping bag, and features a two layer construction with a quilted insulating layer encapsulated by a ripstop, windproof and water resistant nylon lightweight cover. The sleeping bag opens centrally with a large, insulated zip with double pulls to allow for opening from inside and outside the bag. Two large mesh pockets in chest area and inner zipper flap, preventing heat loss.
Excellent 3 season sleeping bag when used alone. Together with light weight sleeping bag, it belongs to British Army modular sleeping system that can be used at extreme cold temperatures down to -32C.
Reportedly, this bag is a direct copy of Carinthia Defence 4 sleeping bag.
